Here’s a great web tool that I came across recently and which really helped me a lot. CSS Sprite Generator is a tool to better the performance of your website by cutting down on the number of HTTP requests which are needed to render images. However, this requires a real lot of measuring, planning and coding if you are doing it manually. This tool enables you to upload all the images you require in a zip file. It will combine all these images into a one sprite and comes up with the CSS.
